Q.1.1 Ribble (2011) identifies nine elements that make up digital citizenship, encompassing the issue of the use, abuse and misuse of technology. Briefly discuss these nine elements.
1.Digital Access: Cyber users must know that not everyone has a chance or can afford technology that is common today. Digital Citizenship is about giving equal digital rights whether a person from a low income or a high income household. Exclusion is not wanted because it is believed that citizens will not improve or grow. Some cyber users have limited access which the equipment and resources need to be given to them. In order cyber users need to improve with digital citizenship they need to be committed. 2.Digital Commerce: It is selling products through electronic technology. Market economy is mostly done through electronic devices whether its a computer or a cellphone. Legal exchanges does happen but the users need to be careful with the disadvantages that comes with it. The common items that the cyber users usually purchases is toys, cars, clothing and food.
